Meet Our Teachers

Darren M.

Over the years, I have become a very patient and empathic teacher who always has my student's best interests in mind. Professionally, I believe in teaching to understand rather than memorize. It is tough to experience success on an examination if students cannot grasp why they are completing specific steps of a mathematical solution. I generally have at least two drastically different techniques for introducing a mathematical concept. I can play my favorite sports, football, hockey, and golf, when I'm not teaching IB Mathematics. More recently, I have become a world traveler and adore Italy.

Imaad B.

Hey! I'm Imaad, a recent IB DP graduate with a score of 40/45; I am ready to tutor Physics and Math at any level. I'm fresh out of the program, so I'm sure we can bond over our trauma while we work on overcoming any issues you might have. I am pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering at Mcgill University after graduating from the IBDP program. I was previously a TA for DP and MYP math, and I achieved a 7 in both HL Maths and Physics, so I thoroughly understand the content I want to help you with.

Nadia R.

I am Nadia, a previous IB student, and a Biology, Chemistry, and English tutor. I am currently a University student at KCL studying Pharmacology. I have tutored several students before in the IB who have seen massive improvements. I am happy to help and boost your confidence when taking exams as a University student studying Pharmacology in London; I am very passionate about biology and chemistry and their application to the medical field. As well as this, I have tutored English for several years, and I enjoy helping students reach their maximum potential.

Liza L.

Hey! My name is Elizaveta, but my friends call me Liza. I am a third-year student at the University of Edinburgh, expecting to graduate in 2024 with a BSc Honors in Biomedical Sciences. My main passion lies in Pharmacogenetics, which focuses on drug development based on the individual's DNA and genetic specificities. I graduated from a German school with an IB diploma in 2020 with 38 points and the highest scores in Biology HL, Psychology SL, German B HL, and English A Lang & Lit SL. My enthusiasm consists of a balance between science and linguistics, which can be seen in my subject selection and resume 🙂 I would be grateful to share my interests with my students and help them achieve the scores they deserve. Specifically, I believe your success at the IB DP strongly depends on your ability to follow the assessment's formatting, so I can assist you with your course material and perfect your Internal Assessment (IA). Often, the IB can feel overwhelming, but each of you deserves individual academic support, which I am here for. If, during my IB days, I had a chance to communicate with an expert in the area of studies who would tell me that I would graduate the IB with confidence and excellence, I would have spared many more of my brain cells and stressful days!

Valerie C.

Hi! I'm Valerie, a Visual Arts teacher at an International School in Mauritius. I have been passionate about art for as long as I can remember. I graduated in Art & Design A levels in high school with an A*, distinguishing myself as one of the top ten best students in the subject in my country. My journey continued with a Fine Arts degree in Paris with High Honors, and I have been teaching Fine Arts for the past few years. My area of expertise is especially Painting Related Media and Digital Art, although I also enjoy sculpting and painting mediums. My greatest joy has been sharing my passion and knowledge with my students, who constantly amaze me with their creativity. Visual Arts is a truly gratifying subject, but it can also be draining mentally and physically. I aim to cater to my students individually and bring them to their highest potential while supporting them to handle the pressure of the subject at their level. I am here to develop the student's critical and practical skills, giving them the proper structure to follow quickly and making IBDP more accessible. I also teach IGCSE, O Level and A Level, and I am a tutor for each of these programs, giving structured support to fill the expectation of the different assessors.
