Teaching is the most challenging and rewarding carrier of all. To be outstanding in this profession a teacher should & must have patience, passion, and perseverance. I believe these are the requisites to cater to the needs of the 21 st generation students. Their content and knowledge are accessible to students however, it's the facilitators' and mentors' duty to point them in the right direction and bridge the knowledge gaps that require patience and perseverance. My overall teaching experience has led me to believe that what makes this profession so challenging is the diverse set of students. Students come in all forms of diversity in the nature of their culture, background, learning style and abilities. It is for the educator to create a responsive, interactive and meaningful learning environment that has the potential to cater to the varied needs of students in all its forms and in all fairness. In this aspect, I prepared and presented the lecture material as simple yet effective that would appeal to different learning styles. However, there is no single approach in this processes, I have taken the evaluations from my students on what they need and tried my best to sync to the curriculum and student requirements. I’d like to bring collaborative and cooperative learning instruction that allows equal attention to students of all levels. My approach was to first know their specific interests and determine what will work best for each individual student so that are engaged in learning and be productive not only in academics but for future goals.
Build a safe student-teacher relationship - get to know the student's aptitude, fears, and likes of the subject through fun and engaging activities. Share academic goals. Try to learn their learning difficulties, their learning schedule, what kind of assignments they get and like to have, and set expectations on the assignments and tasks allocated.
Access prior knowledge content: ask students to summarize the taught lesson /content /concept before we exit the class or before the start of the next class. This allows me to know if they got the taught content or if there are gaps. Provide them with study tips, study guides, and set up practice routines. Help them to draw a study plan and organize their IA and EE Internal timelines - check on their progress. Help them draw up syllabus review check-ins to cover the content and have routine revision schedules. Ask students to draw a mind map/doodle the content to check on the learning
Incorporate a 3-minute activity during my lectures to gain students' attention as they learn the material with some simple fun and engaging exercise - Jam board activity, Sticky notes, Game based testing, etc... Quiz them before or after class to review and evaluate if they grasped the course content. Probe, explain, and become more amicable to lead them for an open discussion and help them figure out the solution to the problem at hand.
Usually, break up the difficult concepts into small /short chunks and help them decipher them. I prepare short notes... give ample examples and analogs, real-time problems, and ask for solutions, Prepare practice worksheets that are of three different levels - easy, moderate, and high order practice assignments to help them understand the content. Provide personalized/individual feedback on the tasks assigned so they can score well and work as per the standards set by IB board preparation. Provide them with easy learning resources - visual , YouTube , IB resources etc. …
Help them build key vocabulary terms and their definitions Use the flash card technique to learn short question responses Read the textbook and highlight/underline content that is relevant, draw any creative presentation of their understanding of the content. Make your own notes in bullet points and review them periodically and practice assignments that will build confidence in attempting the routine /easy level 1 Basic conceptual questions

Use tried and tested strategies to handle differential learning abilities such as audio- video lectures, concept -map based., Designed assessments and practice tests - lots of practice
Simplify the terms and concepts through real-time examples - analogies, use pneumonic, Have the patience to listen to their queries, give positive feedback give them ample space and time to work on difficult tasks and concepts - repeat, review session. Use fun game based revisions and use audio-visual aids that enable an easy understanding of concepts
