My first rule is “learning is the essence of life” when everyone learns, they will create a force that develops themselves first and then their communities. A well-educated learner has the most significant opportunity to communicate with different cultures, which helps produce and exchange solutions and create experiences that overcome problems and solve some issues in society. I firmly believe that all students can learn by meeting their different learning needs. All students are unique, in my view, and need a teacher who meets their individual needs in a warm and stimulating environment that makes them feel safe to take risks and prepares them to live and take responsibility for their learning. In that kind of education, students can explore to reach and exploit their potential and abilities, through equal opportunities, in an environment that promotes creativity, accepts mistakes, and overcomes obstacles, which also allows students to feel comfortable enough to seize opportunities, and try new methods, because students learn best when learning is practical and diverse, so I teach by creating experiences, not just giving information. So, my teaching philosophy is student-centered, where I believe every student can learn and deserves the best teacher with high expectations for them. All students can learn when they want to; my first job is to reach them and push them forward. I ensure that is done by designing a job that allows them to own their learning, so I become a part of the learning process, not all of it. I direct and challenge concepts by making my students aware that they are valuable members of our classroom community. My job is to introduce students to many different things and help them find their ways to excel and what they need to continue their passion and encourage their progress, then enhance their excellence and help them figure out how to find a way to their success happiness.
I will schedule a consultation to get to know my student. Then I will Prepare a brief pre-test to gauge my student's strengths and weaknesses and assess his level, so I can design a learning program that suits them. Also, I will break down my lesson plan into smaller, easy-to-digest sections. At the end of the session, I will build some time for a recap.
Being a facilitator for my students will help them to learn by themselves by giving them the tools they need and mentoring their progress and achievements.
I believe that when students feel appreciated by their teacher, this will create a motivating environment, so they will work harder to get good feedback from someone they think that he respects them as individuals. Students who feel respected and appreciated are more willing to cooperate and motivated to learn. Also, the best way to encourage my students is to share my enthusiasm. When I feel excited about teaching, they’ll be much more excited about learning.
First, I will let my student draw what he thinks when he hears about a particular concept. This will allow him further insight into his level of understanding and prior knowledge, so I can then build upon it. Because connecting new information to prior learning will also help with long-term memory storage. Also, I will try to teach the concept in isolation and then re-introduce it in context. I will break the idea into chunks and give Examples as much as possible; I will define difficult words and use visuals whenever possible, all these after I Know my Students' Learning Styles and Multiple Intelligence for my students. Finally, I will give my students many opportunities to practice.
I can use many proven reading techniques and strategies for reading. Like skimming and scanning, and the 5 R's- Read, Recite, (w) Rite, Reflect, and Review, to help my student...
This will depend on the goal or the objective I want to achieve with my students; for example, when I want my student to reflect on his learning, I will use Thinking Routines.
I believe that students learn best and are most engaged when they are having fun and interested. For this reason, I must prepare many tricks I can use when student interest starts to waver.
To improve and enhance student learning I will use formative assessments designed to check for understanding and provide students with feedback and support, for example, I will use the signal technique, by Asking students to display a designated hand signal to indicate their degree of confidence in their understanding: Thumbs up, Wave hand, Thumbs down. Also, I can use the summary as a technique, because having students regularly summarize what they are learning is very important to provide teachers with insight into whether students are really grasping important ideas. In addition, it will be an effective means of helping them increase comprehension and retention of new material.
I can build a student’s confidence in my subject by encouraging him to talk without any interruption from me to correct, and I Always let the student finish his thought, then gently explain why there is a better answer. Then, rather than telling a student to get the correct answer, encourage him to be better than before. This way, he won’t feel nervous about giving another wrong answer.
As a teacher, it is essential to know my studestudent'sning interests and strengths so I can create for them enjoyable and engaging learning experiences individually; this will make me more effective and impact teachers. To evaluate students, I can use many ways like free writing. I may ask students to write about a topic that will provide insight into their attitudes, expectations, and motivation for my subject. I can also ask them to write short handwritten notes on their papers. This activity allows the teachers to comment on what goals are being met or not being met during the period. I can also evaluate my studestudent'ss by developing a group vision and asking students individually to list their positive and negative experiences in previous lessons. Then I can generate a list of the studestudent'slts on the board and responds to the list by indicating what from the positive list they can accept as suggestions and what from the negative list.
Often modify instruction to accommodate special needs students. And I am constantly adapting materials and strategies for curriculum areas. For example, Suppose the student has difficulty learning by listening. In that case, there will be activities to do before the listening. During the lesson before the lesson, I will write down the objectives, teach complex vocabulary, provide a reason for listening, and ask the student to take notes, review, provide a worksheet for the student, and provide the film script, for example. Also, during the lesson, I will Use flashcards, ask students to close their eyes and try to visualize the information, ask students to take notes, give explanations in steps, and provide written as well as oral directions; when I give advice, I will ask my student to repeat orders, I will leave a pause between each step so the student can carry out the process in his mind; also I will shorten the listening time required
This will be related to the objective of the lesson, so I need to understand what is my need for teaching online to choose which tool I want to use; for example, if I’m looking to have a collaborative workspace with my student, to let them interact, I will use an online whiteboard, or a document sharing software because these tools can allow my student to engage more.
