My teaching philosophy is to make things easier and simpler. Throughout my academic career and even when I started teaching I have observed students dread Physics and Math. My aim and philosophy are to debunk this myth and my approach has definitely made students love the subject.
In my first lesson, I make sure to break the ice and make students realize that I am more of a mentor than just a scary Physics teacher and the rest of my feedback will speak louder:).
To make students independent learners it's important to provide them with requisite confidence and make them reach a point, where their perspective complements the narrative 'no matter what I can do it.
I keep my students motivated by sharing past experiences i.e. success stories where I have made students of every caliber reach their desired grades. At times I make sure to develop a plan with them strategically and smartly. Last but not least by making them smile because that is what matters the most :D.
I make students conformable with the fact that it's perfectly fine not to be able to understand anything because that's how it is. I have multiple differentiated resources for my students for almost every ability learner and these resources never disappoint. In addition to this, I never explain the concept without an analogy or animation, or interactive which is definitely very effective in such cases.
