About Asiman
I am an experienced IB and Cambridge IGCSE Teacher, providing customized French lessons commensurate with individual students’ needs and interactive classroom lessons emphasizing comprehension, speaking, listening, and writing skills. I also encourage active classes in grammar and vocabulary, leading to successful growth in their comprehension and fluency. I am a holder of a Master's degree in the teaching of French as a foreign and second language, French for specific purposes (professional French related to all the domains), and French for academic purposes with the University of Artois in France. My teaching style is based on compassion, empathy, and humor to make learning enjoyable. I am quite flexible with choosing and adapting my teaching methodology while considering the learners' specific needs and capabilities. Besides, I have always built great interpersonal relationships with my learners, as I strongly believe this plays a significant role in making the learning experience successful.

My methodology and approach to tutoring
What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. I will assist my students to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are, as well as embrace the differences of others. I believe that there are some essential elements that are crucial to learning. Firstly, the teacher's role is to act as a guide. Also, students should have access to hands-on activities. Learners should be able to have alternatives and let their interest direct their learning. Students need the chance to practice skills in a safe environment. Technology must be integrated into the learning environment.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
I start to introduce myself and find out what my student’s aims are. Then I explain how sessions will work. I bring some resources which could be helpful to check the level the student is currently working at. I teach them something new just to show my abilities and I leave some home learning.
