Bhavna Narayanan is an internationally experienced IB educator, DP Geography examiner, and curriculum leader with over 13 years of teaching and academic leadership across Singapore, Japan, and the United States. An IB Diploma graduate from UWCSEA, she brings a unique dual perspective — understanding the programme as both a former student and as a teacher, coordinator, and examiner. She has taught the full IB DP Geography curriculum at both Higher and Standard Level, including urban environments, geophysical hazards, freshwater systems, climate change, and global development. She has also taught Environmental Systems and Societies, MYP Humanities, IGCSE Geography, and Global Perspectives. As an IB DP Coordinator and Geography Team Leader, she has led curriculum reviews, assessment standardisation, IB evaluation cycles, and professional development workshops. Since 2017, Bhavna has served as an IB DP Geography Examiner, marking Internal Assessments and Paper 3, giving her deep insight into assessment criteria, common student challenges, and high-scoring strategies. She has presented at the IB Global Conference and contributed to Oxford University Press publications.
