About Majid
I am Majid, a Chemistry Teacher in the German International School Beirut. I have 26 years of experience teaching Chemistry for students at the Secondary level (Grades 10, 11, and 12). I have a great passion for Chemistry to help students build their skills and confidence. I am fond of Computer Programming, and I have advanced skills in using Technology in Teaching. I taught IB Chemistry courses at SL and HL for 13 years, as an assistant examiner in the International Baccalaureate Organisation. For the past "IB May 2021 Session", I marked 280 IA Chemistry Lab Reports (200 in English and 80 in French).

- Teaching Grades 9 (IP and LP), 10 (IP and LP), 11 (IB and LP) and 12 (IB and LP) (IP), (IB) Diploma Programme and Lebanese Program), also taught Physics for the Brevet Class (Grade 9) for the first seven years and Computer programming for all classes from grade 7 till grade 12 for 15 years.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I have a great passion for Chemistry to help students build their problem-solving skills and develop confidence in understanding the Scientific concepts and appreciating their connections to their daily life.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Break the ice with an introduction that shows what Chemistry is and how it should be studied to be appreciated and get the most out of the study.
