0About Najia
I am passionate about helping students build confidence, achieve academic excellence, and truly enjoy learning in a supportive and inspiring environment. With 18 years of experience teaching Psychology, I have worked with students across GCSE, IGCSE, A Level, International A Level, and IB Psychology, covering all major exam boards including Edexcel, Edexcel International, OCR, Oxford, WJEC, and Cambridge International. My extensive experience means I understand exactly what examiners are looking for — and more importantly, how to help students achieve top grades. I am a Qualified Teacher (PGCE, QTLS) with an MSc in Psychological Approaches to Health and Management, and a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). My background in psychology and mental health allows me to support not only academic progress, but also student wellbeing and resilience — because success starts with confidence. In addition to teaching, I am an experienced education leader and Internal Quality Assurer (IQA), dedicated to maintaining high standards in teaching, assessment, and learner outcomes. I also work as a UCAS advisor, guiding students step-by-step through the university application process — from personal statements to final submissions — ensuring they feel supported and prepared for their next chapter. Students often describe me as calm and approachable, supportive and encouraging, clear and patient in my explanations and motivating and confidence-building I believe every student has potential — they simply need the right guidance, structure, and belief. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex psychological theories into simple, understandable concepts, developing strong exam techniques and structured answers, building confidence in essay writing and evaluation skills, supporting mental wellbeing alongside academic success and creating a safe and motivating learning environment. Whether you are aiming for top grades, preparing for university, or simply wanting to feel more confident in Psychology, I am here to support you every step of the way. I truly look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your goals.
