. I have been teaching in international schools for over 17 years. Most of my career has been dedicated to the IB framework, specifically DP/MYP Design and DP Computer Science. One thing that I believe would be a real asset to your secondary team is my experience as an IBDP Examiner. It allows me to help them demystify the assessment criteria for their portfolios and Internal Assessments, showing them exactly how to document their design process so they feel confident heading into their final years of the program. I’m a big believer in "learning by doing." Whether we are working on a product design challenge or a digital project, I like to keep things inquiry-based. I want my students to feel like they are actual designers and problem-solvers, not just following a manual. I really enjoy the challenge of taking a complex technical concept and finding a way to make it "click" for a student who might be struggling, while still giving my advanced learners the space to see how far they can push their ideas. Being a teacher means being an active part of the community. I make it a point to build genuine relationships with my students. Technology and design can be challenging, so I make sure my room is a supportive space where everyone feels they belong and can take creative risks.
