About Roman

I am an Aerospace Engineer with a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering and over six years of experience tutoring physics from high-school to university level, including IB Physics. My teaching style focuses on building strong conceptual understanding first, then connecting theory to real-world and engineering applications before practicing through structured examples. I aim to help students develop a clear, repeatable problem-solving process rather than memorizing isolated solutions. I create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through gaps at their own pace. My goal is not only to help students improve grades, but to build confidence and long-term understanding.

Physics Graduate Teaching Assistant

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

  • Primary instructor for Physics for Engineers/Pilots lab (2 sections/semester, 24 students/section); led weekly experiments, mini-lectures, and demos.
  • Prepped labs and facilitated inquiry-based activities on kinematics, circuits, rotation, and thermodynamics.
  • Taught data processing and data presentation techniques in Microsoft Excel.
  • Graded lab reports and worksheets; maintained gradebook and held office hours for one-on-one coaching.
  • Gave targeted, formative feedback to improve experimental design, data analysis, and technical writing.
  • Coordinated with the course professor on pacing, deadlines, and continuous improvement of lab procedures.
  • Drove high student satisfaction, earning above-department average evaluations each term.
