I did my undergraduate and graduate studies at the The Ohio State University. I was a poor student of math in the beginning but learned the process of discovery from a great teacher I was lucky enough to have. Once in Graduate School in Math I began teaching and fell in love it. I spent some years on the faculty of the University of Illinois where I helped develop an online course series in Calculus for remote High School students (Netmath). From there I founded an Edtech company that taught STEM stubjects in partnership with the University of Illinois. That company was acquired in 2005. From there I started another Edtech company called Making Math. That company was acquired by the University of Illinois. I'm currently semi-retired but I am happiest when building relationships with students and helping them find the confidence to succeed. I'm now semi-retired but there is nothing that makes me happier than building relationships with students and helping them succeed.
