Hi! I'm Valerie, a Visual Arts teacher at an International School in Mauritius. I have been passionate about art for as long as I can remember. I graduated in Art & Design A levels in high school with an A*, distinguishing myself as one of the top ten best students in the subject in my country. My journey continued with a Fine Arts degree in Paris with High Honors, and I have been teaching Fine Arts for the past few years. My area of expertise is especially Painting Related Media and Digital Art, although I also enjoy sculpting and painting mediums. My greatest joy has been sharing my passion and knowledge with my students, who constantly amaze me with their creativity. Visual Arts is a truly gratifying subject, but it can also be draining mentally and physically. I aim to cater to my students individually and bring them to their highest potential while supporting them to handle the pressure of the subject at their level. I am here to develop the student's critical and practical skills, giving them the proper structure to follow quickly and making IBDP more accessible. I also teach IGCSE, O Level and A Level, and I am a tutor for each of these programs, giving structured support to fill the expectation of the different assessors.
