IB Math AA Group Classes
The proof-heavy Maths route — algebra and functions through calculus, with the reasoning habits Paper 1 rewards.
2 hours of live class every week for 36 teaching weeks, in a cohort of no more than 6. SL and HL run as separate groups.
What the year covers in Math AA
The cohort follows a published roadmap, so you can see in September what will be taught in March. Depth differs between SL and HL; the sequence does not.
- 01Algebra, functions and sequences rebuilt from the ground up
- 02Trigonometry, complex numbers and vectors
- 03Differentiation and its applications
- 04Integration, statistics and probability
- 05Paper technique: non-calculator fluency, GDC discipline, HL Paper 3
Why a group works for Math AA
Maths is where a weekly rhythm pays off most. Working through a problem alongside four other students surfaces the misconception faster than a tutor watching one student work in silence.
If it turns out the group is not the right fit — because the gap is bigger than a weekly class can close, or the pace is wrong — we will say so and move the student to one-to-one. That is a conversation, not a cancellation.
- 2 hours of live class every week, 18 weeks a semester
- A maximum of 6 students, taught by an IB-experienced tutor
- A published topic roadmap for the full year, so nothing is improvised
- Weekly homework and worked solutions
- Class recordings, for catching up and revising
