IB Math AI Group Classes

The modelling route — statistics, financial maths and applied calculus, with the GDC used properly rather than hopefully.

2 hours of live class every week for 36 teaching weeks, in a cohort of no more than 6. SL and HL run as separate groups.

What the year covers in Math AI

The cohort follows a published roadmap, so you can see in September what will be taught in March. Depth differs between SL and HL; the sequence does not.

  1. 01Functions, models and financial mathematics
  2. 02Statistics, probability and distributions
  3. 03Geometry, trigonometry and networks
  4. 04Calculus and applied modelling
  5. 05Paper technique: structured response, GDC method marks, HL Paper 3

Why a group works for Math AI

AI rewards interpretation, not just calculation. Hearing four other students justify a modelling choice is the fastest way to learn what an examiner counts as a justification.

If it turns out the group is not the right fit — because the gap is bigger than a weekly class can close, or the pace is wrong — we will say so and move the student to one-to-one. That is a conversation, not a cancellation.

  • 2 hours of live class every week, 18 weeks a semester
  • A maximum of 6 students, taught by an IB-experienced tutor
  • A published topic roadmap for the full year, so nothing is improvised
  • Weekly homework and worked solutions
  • Class recordings, for catching up and revising
