What is your teaching philosophy?
Applying an individualistic approach, building a relationship with every student, identifying their strengths and weakness, gaining their trust, and mentoring them.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
* Introductions: Both myself and the student
* Discuss the student’s career aspirations
* Progress in the class
* Strengths and weakness
* Preferred learning methods
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Through active learning during every session. Each session would consist of the study answering high yield questions as we discuss the topics and attempt to summarize the key concepts at the end of the session. This would help the student identify the content they need to review and the most effective method for retaining the content.
